"Change"

Every year, we all watch the weather slowly change, and we go into a season of brown and ugly scenery. I sit here looking out our windows and see what has happened and know it will  be at least three months until we are back to seeing the beauty of the Ozarks.

So the best thing to try and enjoy the winter is to go down to the river, and walk along the foot paths. One can still find the scenery to be something other then brown.

Today we went down and walked a good 2 miles, and were lucky once again to see a Bald Eagle. We had the dogs with us, and they always enjoy being down there. Kath saw it from along ways away, and on the other side too. It appeared to be one of pretty good size. Just sitting there looking at what was going on around it. I would have loved to had my old SLR camera with the zoom lens on it. I hesitate buying film for it, and cringe at the cost of developing it. We are so spoiled with the ease of digital photography and the ability to just click off however many pictures one might like. Then go back through, edit those you don't like and it doesn't cost you a thing. Got to love that right?!!

So Christmas is7 days away, no snow this year even in the forecast as of today anyway. So let's hope it waits until Rob and his family have come down and made it back home safely. Then we can let it snow! And enjoy some white stuff instead of all brown scenery.........then spring will be coming soon after that! Positive thinking.
