" Takin It Easy On Dad's Day"

Our
weekend started off getting back down to the river, one of our favorite places to go to. In fact this was the first time since living here, that we were able to drift down river to the resort we stayed at 2 years ago when we were here in the summer of 2009. Kath and I both caught 2 real nice 13" rainbows . As you can see the fog was pretty thick for maybe one hour. It was very hot after the fog lifted. This fog will appear due to the water being in the low 50's year round. I will point out that this day, I caught the first fish, unlike usual. The picture of the resort.
Sunday our weekend continued with a little yard mowing, then it was time to get to the pontoon and have some relaxation on the lake. We have a cove we have been going to, it is close and usually pretty calm, and seldom other boats. We drop the anchor and get into the water......
it is really nice right now. Once in awhile you will hit a cool spot, but all in all it is great! We played around there for close to an hour, then Kathy gets behind the wheel and we go cruise around. She is getting pretty comfortable driving the boat, I am glad she likes it. After all, we have named the boat "Kathy's Toy". This was a dream of both of ours once we moved here, and we still at times have this thought of "when is this vacation going to end?" So until we can't afford to keep her, or we can't get down to the slip due to health reasons, we hope to get out as much as we can to enjoy the lake. It is so peaceful once you get to a cove, or just slow cruisin the lake. There is a lot of lake to discover here, in fact 1070 miles of shoreline is here.
So that pretty well describes a great weekend here, and to top it all off, I was treated with fried chicken and fresh strawberries for my giant bowl of ice cream.
How could it have been a better Dads Day?
Till the next time
Bob and Kath
